Dublin Brick Con is the brainchild of Paul, Jarek & Dave, three like minded AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO). Between us we have over 21 years of experience participating in and organising LEGO® Fan events.
We know that LEGO® is a great tool for learning and bonding as is evident from Paul’s story about his son Ciaran in the video below. Our mission is to showcase the endless capabilities of the well-known LEGO® brick to a wide audience through workshops, interactive activities and fun games & competitions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our biggest attraction is the tonnes of amazing custom models on display from both Irish and international builders. The imagination, creativity and jaw dropping levels of detail is breath-taking.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions either, our builders love talking about techniques, hidden easter eggs and giving general tips & tricks.
There are plenty of activities throughout the event to keep all ages engaged. These include workshops, competitions, LEGO® themed carnival games, minifigure hunt and more.
Looking to get hands on with some bricks, there are two brick pits overflowing with Duplo and 2×4 bricks. We also have over 15 build tables with tens of thousands of pieces to get those creative juices flowing and a mosaic wall to show your artistic side.
The team from You’ve Been Framed will have their giant green screen available to capture some awesome pics. They have everything from LEGO® themed backgrounds to Marvel, Star Wars, Frozen, Harry Potter and more.
Don’t forget to say cheese slope…
At every event we strive to host some special guests who are VIPs in the LEGO® community. This includes former LEGO® Masters contestants, LEGO® youtubers and LEGO® Ideas fan designers.
You’ll get an opportunity to meet & greet them, get a cheeky selfie and have them sign your favourite set. Check our socials for up to date info on what are special guests are attending.
There will be loads of vendors on site all weekend selling everything from genuine LEGO® minifigures, sets and accessories to custom LEGO® play tables, plushies and baked treats. There is something for everyone and every budget.
We are honoured to once again be partnering with ASD Ireland to make Dublin Brick Con a fully accessible and socially inclusive event. The team will be on site all weekend with their amazing sensory zone.
ASD Ireland is a registered charity and a not for profit organization that provides socially inclusive activities for people with autism and their families. Their head office is in Limerick and they provide activities to people from all over Ireland.
